It takes a home to have a picnic. In this final installment of No More Nomads, Mark Southerland brings to Kansas City Museum’s Corinthian Hall a performance installation piece about home and vacancy. Cultural exchange happens in the flesh. Where and how we decide to share food, music, and art defines our sense of place and community.
Three commanding performers, Victoria Botero, Zhanna Saparova, and Coleen Dieker, all accompanied by Beau Bledsoe, will wear grand and looming garments by Hadley Anne Johnson and Rachel Anne Gottlieb. Support for this work is provided by the the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the Charlotte Street Foundation, the Lighton Fund and contributions from private donors.
