The Cecilia Series presents a program devoted to the music of Kansas City native and internationally acclaimed composer, Susan Kander. Don’t miss the world premiere of Eavesdropping, a song cycle based on poems by Michelle Boisseau in music specifically commissioned for soprano Victoria Botero. This also marks the KC premiere of the riveting one-woman opera, *dwb*(driving while black), Kander’s extraordinary collaboration with librettist and Soprano, Roberta Gumbel alongside the intrepid cello and percussion duo, New Morse Code. Curated by Victoria Botero, the evening invites an audience to enter Kander’s unique sound world.
